My little G man

Wow, I don't even know where to start when it comes to Gavin. I actually saw a little saying that someone had framed the other day that wraps it up for me. It said, "A child is a handful some of the time, a heartful all the time." I realize a heartful isn't really a word but that pretty much sums it up. I mean he's two almost three so of course he is pushing every limit and testing every boundary. It is very tiring and can really push me to the limit sometimes. I feel like I already treat him like a teenager b/c there are days when I just have to say "just go to your room." However, it actually still surprises me sometimes how much I love him. I can't get enough. I could just hold him and hug him and kiss him all day if he would let me. He is so stinking hilarious. I have story after story of little one liner phrases that he has picked up that sound so funny coming out of his mouth. The other day my mom was talking and he just butts in and says, "well MY question is, how's my friend?" I mean he knows how things fit into conversations but he has no idea what's he's talking about!

His imagination has skyrocketed! He loves pretending to do everything. Being Buzz Lightyear,

or me :) like wearing my undergarments or putting on blush, of course his daddy,

a chef, a doctor, a prince, butterfly,

cowboy,

superman,

a working man.

He's in that stage where he likes to pick out his clothes which means they almost never match. He's getting better though, he kinda gets how to pick out shirts that match shorts. He also likes to wear his house shoes to the donut shop and all those things. Just goofy but I figure these are the days where he's exploring so many things and it's better to let his imagination run wild! It does get us into a little bit of trouble considering he runs into our room every morning from his because the lions out in the hall might get him before he can get to our door. No amount of arguing can convince him that there really aren't real live lions in our house. :) But it's so fun to listen to him telling all his toys what to do and making up what they are saying to each other.
Here he was having a very intense conversation with George. He just getting so big. Of course he thinks he's even bigger than that and likes to try and take part in every adult conversation. Now that he's getting bigger and a little more self sufficient, I guess it's time to start thinking about having another one!
