Helping Daddy

Our garage door has been going crazy for awhile now. It wouldn't open at first. You had to open it then close it but hit the button again really fast to stop it from going down then hit it again to open it up more. Sometimes you had to do this a couple times in a row before it would open all the way. Sometimes it would get stuck and you couldn't do anything but operate it manually. It even got so bad that for the whole summer we had to unplug it and act as if we had no garage opener at all, getting out of the car every time we left or came home to open the door then get back in and pull the car either out or in and then get back out, etc. It sounds like no big deal but it got really annoying really fast! I know...talk about a "rich person" problem! Most of the world doesn't even have a car or garage, much less a garage door opener! However, still annoying! So Joshua finally called the people and they sent us a new circuit board. Fine....but what are we supposed to do with that! If you don't know my husband, he is not the most natural at fixing things. No one ever taught him how so how is he supposed to know how to fix it? Well, he decided he would read the instructions (I know...miracle! A giant leap for the male gender!) and try to fix it himself. He did a great job! Now it works perfectly! We don't even have to start/stop it anymore! It just opens and closes the way it was supposed to every time!

Gavin loves being outside now so it was not ok that Daddy was outside and he wasn't. However I knew that Joshua couldn't fix the door and watch Gavin at the same time so we all went outside together. I can really see Gavin wanting to be just like his daddy already and these pictures were just too cute to not capture!

oh my goodness sooo cute! And hey our garage door has been doing that too! Not quite as bad, so we haven't called for a new circuit board yet but we may have too soon, and I agree it IS VERY annoying.
