Homecoming

Joshua and I decided to go to UMHB's homecoming this year. It has already been 5 years since we graduated college and we were thinking that there would be some extra stuff for our class b/c of the 5 years  which might bring some more people there than might be other years. But we were wrong. There really wasn't anything special happening and there really wasn't anybody there. We did get to see a couple of friends but they live pretty close and would be there probably every year. We were hoping that those people who lived far away would make the extra special effort to come with it being 5 years but they didn't. Kinda a bummer. But we also wanted to see some of our teachers which we did. My advisor was one who I really wanted to see b/c he had also been my favorite teacher. He had really opened my eyes and caused me to look at my faith and decide what I believed and why I believed it. He's really the coolest guy! It was really weird to be back and see all the improvements they have made and all the changes. We got there later on friday and went to the dinner where One Voice sang and Joshua got to sing with them which was fun for him. And then we hung out with the director of One Voice that night and let our boys play together. The next day we went to the football game.

Gavin had fun, he loves football. He kept yelling Boomer Sooner and Run Peyton! Which of course didn't have anything to do with this game but it was really funny! As we were leaving we stopped by the maybee center which is where Joshua and I met (almost ten years ago!!!). We were in the same welcome week family group and our group met on the steps of maybee so we wanted to take some family pics.

Overall it was fun to relive some memories of where we kissed for the first time and where he proposed and all that stuff!
