header: The 12 Days of Christmas

We had the "funnest" thing happen this year 12 days before Christmas! Some people started harassing us! Around the 13th of december one evening our doorbell rang and then somebody banged very loudly on our front door. So we all go to the door a little hesitant wondering who this could be. So we open the door and this is what we find....along with the snowman blown up. We are kinda like who did this? And then we notice that there are people dressed in snow gear from their head to their toes, totally disguised and unrecognizable out in the street, standing by their car. Once we notice them, they start dancing around. "That's strange" I think. Then they jump in their car and we go back inside excited about the days to come.

The next night we find this little bag on our front porch with these in it.

Day three brought these cute little things.

Day four we got these place mats in the bag which I was so excited about b/c I had wanted to buy a bunch of these for decor next year and now already had some! And like all the other nights, when we went outside we would see these people covered from head to toe dancing around and then jumping in the bed of a pick-up truck and drive away.

Now the next night we had to be in new orleans for Joshua's seminary graduation so our christmas lights weren't on and so the snowman that they left on the first night didn't inflate. And the next night we got home way late so they had already come that night too and same situation. So we found these two things on our door and our porch.

The next night was when it got really fun! We were waiting and all of a sudden the door bell rang. We run to the door and find this!

We look and they are just standing there so I'm like fine, I'm going to chase them. Of course I don't have any shoes on so I can't run that fast but they speed off and get away. I get back to the house and read this.

So we all decide to really start getting them back, or at least trying to! So we devise a plan to have water balloons at a couple different places and leave this sign in hopes that they will stay and read it and then we can ambush them. They have been coming around 7:30 so we are planning on heading outside around 7 and hiding in some different places.

BUT......around 6 o'clock the door bell rings and we find the bag sitting on our front porch. We're so bummed! But decide to try again tomorrow night.

So the next day we are getting ready and Joshua comes home carrying some presents including this bag!! They had dropped it on Joshua's desk during the day at work and weren't even coming!! BUMMER!!

Then the next we think we are prepared again when around 5:30 the door bell rings again and we of course think it's them but we can see someone still standing at the door so we figure it's not. So we open the door and there is a pizza delivery guy there with a pizza that we did not order. And on the top of it is this!

We're like no way!!! I can't believe this! We of course grill the guy to see if we can get any information out of him but he doesn't really know anything! This is really getting.........good? I guess? Then the next day right before lunch the doorbell rings again. I head to the door and open it and there is no one there except "the bag." But then I see two little covered heads pop up out of my dad's pick-up bed. Gavin is standing there so I freeze and tell him to go get Boo so dad can bring the water balloons. So I try and keep them distracted long enough for dad to come around the house with a few balloons and he gets a couple of them. But then they all come out and reveal themselves and it's some good friends of ours.
