We had our doctor's appointment today and were excited to learn that we are having another boy! He is totally healthy and growing good. Great little heart beat and just as happy as a lark, well from what I can tell :) I was a little shocked because my pregnancy this time had been different in every way that you would think was due to testosterone vs. estrogen. I just knew with how sick I had been feeling (and how extra emotional) that there had to be a lot of extra estrogen flowing through my veins! Well, at least I was hoping to blame it all on that! So I was quite surprised when I saw the signs that said nope, this one's a boy too! I was hoping to get to go on a shopping trip and buy all sorts of really cute dresses and hair bows and tights and all those really really cute things! I guess that won't be happening this time! I'll have to be happy with getting all of Gav's clothes out again and remembering how cute they all are. It's tonight, maybe more than any other night in these past two years, that I really wish we had access to all of our boxes just to get to go through all those baby clothes again. My brain needs the room to start organizing all the baby stuff and figuring out what I really still need and start washing all the baby stuff and getting it ready to welcome this new little bundle of joy into our home and lives. Gavin is really excited to let everyone know that we saw the baby today and it's a boy which means it's a brother! He's so cute about it all and really excited.
On another note, we did end up closing on our house a couple of weeks ago! To no longer be calling people twelve hours away and trying to talk with them about what's going on with the water line, etc. and depending on them to take care of our house for us is a wonderful feeling! I was always so worried when storms would come that a tree was going to fall on our house and there would be nothing we could do about it! Or a pipe would bust during the winter and we wouldn't know until the whole house was flooded and ruined! We did take quite hit and have a pretty big loan to pay back so we won't be buying a house any time soon. This option was way better than doing a short sale so we took the opportunity. We hope to house sit this summer which will really help to get a jump start on this loan. But then we're not sure what will happen. I mean the plan is to rent something small for a small price for a few years we just need God to provide that place right in the nick of time cause we'll probably have three or four weeks to get it ready before the baby comes! I'm already a little overwhelmed by the thought! I guess we will once again be walking step by step by the lamp of the Word and not a light switch that I can just flip on and see what's clearly ahead. It's not such a bad place to be, Jesus is faithful to stay so close during those times.

So excited to hear you're having another boy and great news about the house too. Best wishes with the preparations for the baby and hopefully a move too.
Best,
Erin
