Spelling

Little lovebug has really gotten good at selective listening. He doesn't hear all the "pick up your cars" or "it's time for a bath" or "eat your sandwich" but if you mention something like "chickala" or candy or swimming or anything else he actually wants to do, then he could be on the other side of the house and hear you and coming running! So we have gotten good at spelling those important words to keep him from getting excited about something that we are not going to do, at least not right now. He has known the alphabet foe awhile now but recently he has gotten really into spelling and what sounds letters make or what words certain letters spell. So now when we are talking and start spelling things, he will add his little thoughts to the conversation and add a little "h i j k l" in there somewhere as if he is spelling a word like I just did. So funny!
